HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN HARGA DIRI KLIEN GANGGUAN JIWA DI UNIT RAWAT JALAN RUMAH SAKIT GRHASIA, YOGYAKARTA

In 2006, amount of psychiatric client in indonesia are 2,5 million people. Usually a most of Indonesia with one of family member have psychiatric disturbance feels a shame and sometimes and choose to hide the client family role very important to protect the a family. The support while given by family have important role to heal a client. The aim this research to know how correlation between family support with self esteem of mental disorder client in ambulatory unit Grhasia hospital of Yogyakarta. The kind of this research is use the non experimental method with cross sectional approach. Data collection does by questioner with 30 respondent. Data analyze use a spearman rank. The result finding 53,3% respondent have good family support and for self esteem the result finding 46,7% have enough category. P value =0,004 and correlation r=0,512. it mean have correlation between family support with self esteem of mental disorder client in ambulatory unit Grhasia hospital of Yogyakarta For the next researcher to study about factors can influence self esteem.
