Abstract

Poverty is still a part of Indonesian people life. The problem of poverty involves all aspects of human life. The issue of poverty is often a matter of ³VHOOLQJ´ LQ WKH SROLWLFDO RU HQWHUWDLQPHQW� $V WKH ³VHOOLQJ´ PDWHULDO RI entertainment, poverty comes in many types of program and Reality Show program is one of the programs. According to the researchers, one of interesting UHDOLW\ VKRZ SURJUDPLV ³Orang Pinggiran´ DLUHG RQ D SULYDWHWHOHYLVLRQ VWDWLRQ Trans 7. In this study, through narrative analysis, researcher is intersted in NQRZLQJKRZWKHSRYHUW\QDUUDWHGLQWKHUHDOLW\VKRZ³Orang Pinggiran´� After data analyzing, the study found some results as follows: First, ³3RYHUW\ DQG ,JQRUDQW &RXQWU\´� 7KLV VKRZV KRZ UHDOLW\ VKRZ ³Orang 3LQJJLUDQ´7UDQV� tells that poverty is caused by the ignorant state. This means LUUHVSRQVLEOH JRYHUPHQW� 6HFRQG� SRYHUW\ DV ³7HVW´ RI *RG� VR SRYHUW\ WKDW FKDUDFWHUDUHH[SHULHQFLQJLVDVWKH³WHVW´RI*RGDQGDVWKHGHVWLQ\�7KHPDJLFDO consciousness (kesadaran magis) conveyed by the media to the audience as if the goverment removes the responsibility of who should be responsible for it. Third, Metropolitan as a New Expectations. The finding of this study shows that metroplitan regarded as a hope that will give a better life and better luck. This we can call with urbanization, where the villagers moved to the city. It occurs as the system of developmentalism that failed and uneven development.
