Abstract
This study aims to examine the composition of the Green Road Path and its
ability to absorb Carbon Pollutant CO, know the amount of CO pollutants in the
air produced as a result of motor vehicle traffic and evaluate the composition of
the green lane on several roads in the city of Bireuen.
The study was conducted using the Survey Method, the technical
implementation of which was carried out by observation, questionnaires and
secondary data collection. Sampling is done by purposive sampling, namely the
selection of samples with certain considerations that are considered relevant and
in accordance with the objectives of the study. The data obtained were analyzed
descriptively.
The results showed that there were 2 types of trees and 1 plant species of
shrub composition of the green line that was influential in dealing with air
pollution, namely the Glodokan Pole, Squirrel Tail Palm and Red Pucuk plants.
Tanaman-tanaman yang berada di jalan Medan-Banda Aceh dan BireuenTakengon mampu menyerap konsentrat polutan CO sebanyak 626.111,2 kg/tahun
pada jalan Medan-Banda Aceh, whereas on the Bireuen-Takengon road it is able
to absorb pollutants as much as 1,579.83 kg / year. The number of CO pollutants
produced due to motorized traffic on the Medan-Banda Aceh road is 3,447 µg /
Nm3, and there are 2,322 µg / Nm3 of CO pollutants on the Bireuen-Takengon
road.
