Abstract
At hospitals, there is an eye washing station or eye washing equipment as
first aid if things happen that injure the eyes. Users can use this tool with the position
of the head and stepped on the footswitch that makes the nozzle will emit water right
to the eye. This is certainly less efficient, considering immediate help is needed if the
user's eyes are exposed to harmful substances. Therefore, the writer has a
breakthrough to make an eye washing tool that could work automatically. The
working principle of the tool "Automatic Eye Wash System" is that when the
appliance is turned on, the heater will run until a set temperature of 32◦C has been
reached continuously. When the user bows his head at a distance of 20-25 cm in the
direction of the nozzle, the JSN SR-04T ultrasound sensor will detect the presence of
an object so that the tool will turn on the motor pump and the motor works to make
water come out to the nozzle and radiate towards the eye. After testing, the average
water temperature measurement value is 32.41 ° C with 52 seconds of spraying time
and 8 seconds pause with 5% accuracy while for testing ultrasound sensor response
at a distance of 20-25 cm, 100% accuracy is obtained.
