Abstract
The increase in the number of motorized vehicles in Yogyakarta causes
locations that have the potential for traffic accidents to increase. Jalan Wonosari
Km 6 - 8 Yogyakarta is divided into 2 segments with 2 2-way lanes (2/2 UD)
having a low traffic volume so that vehicle speeds are higher. This study aims to
identify the type and level of traffic accidents on Jalan Wonosari Km 6 to Km 8, to
analyze the relationship between VCR and vehicle speed, the relationship between
VCR and the number of traffic accidents, and the relationship between speed and
traffic accident rates. Primary data was obtained through a geometric road and
traffic survey, secondary data was obtained from the Bantul Police including
accident data, types and types of accidents in 2017-2019. To analyze the data
used regression with the Microsoft Excel application. The calculation of road
volume and capacity uses the Bina Marga 1997 method. The results of the
analysis show that the ratio of road volume and capacity affects vehicle speed
with the equation y = -60,743x + 61,353 and an R2
value of 0.5503. The
relationship between the VCR value affects the occurrence of accidents shown in
the graph with the non-linear model in 2018, the equation y = -65,214x2 + 67.79x
+ 10,521 with an R2
value of 0.5638 is obtained and in 2019 the equation y =
9.3301x2 - 17.386x + 8 with R2
value of 0.6274. The two non-linear graphs show
that many accidents occur in the morning, this is due to the low VCR value which
has the potential for the driver to be able to determine at a higher speed.
