Abstract

English is a global language that is used as a means of communication in various
countries around the world. English is also widely studied in various parts of the
world including Indonesia. One of the ways to master English well is by increasing
vocabulary. However, there are still many people or students who think that
improving vocabulary is less important and the learning methods provided are less
attractive so that people or students get bored quickly. Based on these problems,
this research was conducted to overcome problems that exist in society or students
in improving vocabulary by using a mobile learning application equipped with
pictures, pronunciation, and pictorial practice questions. This study uses a
prototype development method. The testing phase was carried out by giving a
questionnaire to 45 respondents, then the data collected was processed using a
Likert scale. From the results of testing the questionnaire on the application that
has been carried out, the application is feasible to be declared comfortable because
the test results obtained are in accordance with the data eligibility criteria and the
value obtained reaches an average of 83% which falls into the "Eligible"
