Abstract

Communication is an important aspect needed by humans. As a social being, a person
will face an interaction process that emphasizes communication skills and social contact.
According toPrasojo’s research in 2020, nowadays, as a communicator,da’i (Islamic preacher)
is considered less effective in delivering da’wah (Islamic preaching) to his communicants. It is
expected that a da’i or preacher, with all kinds of its communicants, should convey the message
of the content of the da’wah to change the attitude and behavior of the object.
This research aims to describe the communication style of the Prophet Ibrahim’s da’wah
towards his people based on Q.S. Al-An’am verses 74-79 in al-Maraghi’s interpretation. The
research method used was library research with a qualitative approach. This study used data
collected from primary data and secondary data. Data analysis usedthe descriptive analysis
method.
Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the
communication style of Prophet Ibrahim to his people used TheControlling Style,The
Equalitarian Style (Two-way Communication Style), and The Structuring Style (Structured
Communication Style). These styles of communication show his cleverness in communicating
wisely to his people.
