Abstract

Movies in Indonesia are currently experiencing significant developments, either from
the number of genres or the number of viewers. Movies have their respective functions. One
of which is educational value. It is undeniable that the number of movies as the impact of the
fast advancement of technology and the times has caused positive and negative impacts, and
it has some kind of messages (movie moral). For this reason, the author focuses on the movie
Iqro: Petualangan Meraih Bintang (Iqro: Adventure to Reach the Stars) and Iqro: My
Universe which has the theme of children and science without forgetting the Islamic values.
The purpose of this research is to know the moral message of Ḥablun Min Allᾱh wa Ḥablun
Min al-Nᾱs (Connection with God and connection with the human). This study uses Charles
Sanders Pierce’s semiotic analysis, where this analysis is appropriate to find meaning in the
movie scene. Data collection techniques were taken by direct observation and
documentation. The results of the study found that there is a moral message of Ḥablun Min
Allᾱh wa Ḥablun Min al-Nᾱs in the movie Iqro: Petualangan Meraih Bintang and Iqro: My
Universe. There are scenes of Ḥablun Min Allᾱh, including 53 scenes of taqwa (piety). Being
gratitude, love, and sincerity are found in 3 scenes. Being sincere is found in 2 scenes.
Tawakkal (Trusting in God’s plan) is found in 8 scenes, and being gratitude is found in 12
scenes. The value of Ḥablun Min al-Nᾱs in the movie includes 2 scenes with friends, visiting
and receiving guests as many as 2 scenes, good relations with neighbors as many as 5 scenes,
good relations with the community in 3 scenes, and relations between young people in 4
scenes
