Abstract

The presence of the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia is a challenge for the West Java provincial government. Where the first case was found in Depok City, causing panic and the emergence of various information that causes problems in the community. Therefore, as a government agency responsible for addressing problems in the community, effective and efficient communication is needed to the community in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. So the purpose of this study is to look at the activities and communication patterns of the West Java Provincial Government through @Jabarprovgoid @Humasjabar @Pikobarjabar and @Dinkesjabar accounts by knowing the activities and interactions of twitter accounts through social media to the public. This research uses qualitative research methods and data analysis using Nvivo12 plus software. From the research hasi it is known that communication built by the government during the covid-19 pandemic through @Jabarprovgoid @Humasjabar @Pikobarjabar accounts and @Dinkesjabar active in conveying information to the public and providing messages in the form of health protocols and received by the public well through interactions that occur. So this shows that the government plays a role in providing education in the time of the covid-19 pandemic.
