STUDI EKSPLORATIF DAMPAK COVID-19 TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA DI SD NEGERI 2 PENUSUPAN, PEJAWARAN, KABUPATEN BANJARNEGARA, JAWA TENGAH

With the occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic earlier last year, the government has issued a regulation so that the teaching and learning process in schools is carried out online by learning from home or online. Online learning is learning that is done online using the internet network. With the implementation of this type of learning, it has a negative impact as well as a positive impact on student learning interest at SD Negeri 2 Penusupan. This study has a purpose, namely to determine the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on students’ learning interest at SD Negeri 2 Penusupan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative exploratory research method which aims to describe and find out wholly and clearly the object of research. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, as well as documentation. The results of this study indicate that the pandemic has a positive impact and a negative impact. According to the results of interviews with parents, classroom teachers, and also students, most of them experience a negative impact rather than a positive impact. Thus, it can be concluded that 1). The negative impact of the pandemic greatly affects students’ learning interest, they become increasingly lazy to study because they do not understand the materials presented as they are taking online learning for too long. Although, besides that, the students’ independence increases, it does not make the students’ learning interest increases. Since students become independent, because most parents do not understand the materials, they are forced to study independently. 2). The positive impact of the pandemic is that students have more independence in exploring learning materials.
