Abstract

Autism is one of pervasive mental disorder that is characterized by cognitive, linguistic, behaviour, communication and social interaction disturbance. Motoric coordination disturbance is one of detrimental factor that affects the oral health care. Oral health is one of viseral health integrity. The health of periodontal tissue is one of oral health indicator. The aim of this study is to get case report information on teeth condition and to know the prevelance of periodontal disease.
The type of this study is Cross Sectional study with periodontal examination. The number of subjects is 27. all subjects are examinated by CP1TN method and recording the highest number of each subject. The result will be analized by distribution frequency data analysis.
The result performed that the highest score of CPITN examination is 85,2% on 23 subjects. The periodontal disease occured on 4,26 sectant and found more in posterior than anterior region, also found more in anterior side of lower jaw than anterior side of upper jaw. The conclusion is periodontal disease prevelance on autistic children in autistic special school Fredofios and Bina Anggita is 85,2 % calculus.
