Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Factors Affecting the Human Development Index in the Province of Nusa Tenggara Barat. This research will discuss the effect of Average Length of Schooling, Life Expectancy, Gross Regional Domestic Product , and Percentage of Poor People on the Human Development Index in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. There are ten districts / cities that will be used in this study and use the Panel Method. Where in the panel method there are three models, namely, Common Effect Model, Fixed Effect Model and Rendom Effect Model, but in this study using the Fixed Effect Model. Based on the analysis that has been done, the results show that the average length of schooling has a significant positive effect on the Human Development Index, the Life Expectancy Rate has a significant positive effect on the Human Development Index, Gross Regional Domestic Product significantly. Significantly significant positive effect on the Human Development Index and the Percentage of Poor People has a significant negative effect on the Human Development Index.
