Abstract

This study aims to see the poverty conditions that occur in Dusun Kaliberot, which are categorized as poor in Yogyakarta. The subjects of this study were the people of Kaliberot Hamlet. This study used a quota sampling technique, amounting to 14 quotas taken from several households in Dusun Kaliberot. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation and conclusions as well as poverty strategies using SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the study, namely the factors causing poverty experienced by Kaliberot Hamlet, namely in terms of economic, cultural, structural, natural and human resources. Then, it is also caused by three factors, namely: low education, limited capital and family burdens. 2) The impact of poverty felt by the people of Dusun Kaliberot resulted in the loss of necessities such as clothing, food, shelter, and the loss of rights in education which made them excluded from being like humanitarian work. 3) The strategy of the people of Dusun Kaliberot is that the government realizes that the point is not a matter of size but how to deal with the poor is more important. To realize this, the Dusun Kaliberot government has prepared various programs, for example in the fields of work, food and access to clean water
