Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the Storytelling Class, to find out and analyze the students' confidence, and to determine the effect of perceptions about the Storytelling Class on the students’ confidence at Jogja Green School. This research uses the mixed-method approach, preceded by the qualitative method, and followed by the quantitative method. The qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews, while the quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires to figure out the influence between two variables, namely the effect of Storytelling Class perceptions on the students’ confidence at Jogja Green School. The subjects of this study were students in grades 4, 5 and 6 with a total number 16 respondents. This study concludes that the Storytelling Class can improve social emotional in children, including confidence. The range analysis of the Storytelling Class has medium and high data, which shows the dominant data results in the medium data range, namely 68.75% and so is the confidence that shows moderate data with a percentage of 62.5%. Meanwhile, the ANOVA test shows the sig value of 0.007, which is smaller than the value 0.05 (0.00 <0.005) and f count shows 26,504, and the perception of Storytelling Class has an effect of 46.4% on students' confidence. This shows that the perception of the Storytelling Class on the confidence of the students at Jogja Green School falls into the medium category.
