Abstract

Halal Certified Chicken Slaughterhouse (RPA) Bu Koes was founded in 2020 with a purpose of providing a quality fresh chicken meat for the people of Yogyakarta. To provide the needs of consumers who prioritize halal, RPA Bu Koes obtained halal certification from the MUI on June 13, 2022 which is valid until June 13, 2026. This study are purposed to explore consumer characteristics, their outlooks towards products, and the relationship between these characteristics and consumer outlooks at RPA Bu Koes. The attributes of fresh chicken meat studied include freshness, cleanliness, smells, color, safety from chemicals, and price. The research method on this study used are descriptive quantitative with the Accidental Sampling technique. The results of this study exemplify that consumer trust in fresh chicken meat attributes are very high and consumer evaluation is included in the very important category. Consumer outlooks towards fresh chicken meat products at RPA Bu Koes are in the very good category.
