Abstract
Shallots in Bantul Regency have two onion farming systems, namely environmentally friendly and conventional systems. This study aims to analyze the costs and benefits of conventional and environmentally friendly shallots and to determine the feasibility of green and conventional shallot farming. The method of determining the location in this study using purposive technique (deliberately) and the sampling technique using a proportional random sampling technique. This study took 128 respondents from environmentally friendly and conventional systems. The results showed that the environmentally friendly shallot farming costs Rp. 10,567,822 and conventional Rp. 9,817,952. The profit of environmentally friendly shallots is Rp. 12,137,133 and conventional Rp. 18,712,030. Both environmentally friendly and conventional shallot farming is feasible to cultivate. Capital productivity of 152.82%, land productivity of Rp. 12,643, labor productivity of Rp. 331,057 and R / C of 2.1 in environmentally friendly shallot farming. Capital productivity of 227.64%, land productivity of Rp. 19,403, labor productivity of Rp. 1,633,402 and R / C of 2.9 in conventional shallot farming.
