Abstract

This study aims to i) Analyze costs, revenue and income of spinach farming in Maharatu Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. ii) Analyzing the feasibility of spinach farming in Maharatu Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. The basic method used in the feasibility research of spinach farming in Maharatu Village uses descriptive analysis method by conducting interviews directly based on questionnaire that have been created. The determination of the location of the reasearch is done intentionally or purposively. The determination of samples was done using census sampling techniques with a total sample of 50 samples. The results showed that with an average land area of 1.286 m2 known the amount production cost of spinach farming amounted to Rp.2.018.752, revenues amounted to Rp4.313.100, income amounted to Rp.2.581.001 and profit amounted to Rp.2.294.348 for farming. Based on feasibility analysis, spinach farming in Maharatu Villages is feasible to be developed because it gets R/C of 2,1, land productivity of Rp.1.784/m2 , capital productivity of 133% and labor productivity of Rp.516.484/HKO. BEP price in spinach farming of Rp.453/bunch and BEP production in spinach farming of 972 bunches.
