Abstract

The development of information technology in construction sector is very helpful to develope infrastructure in a place. One of the newest system for planning, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructures is Building Information Modelling or commonly referred as BIM. The application of BIM in this study is to determine the effectiveness by using BIM and its comparison with previous technology that using Microsoft Project in term of project schedulling by using emergency building of Patuh Patuh Patju Hospital in west lombok as an object. The method used is by modelling objects in 3D using Tekla Structures 2020 and continued to project schedulling or called 4D modelling using same application. The results that obtained from modelling are compared using Microsoft Project 2019. It was found that Microsoft Project 2019 had a faster processing time with a difference of 3 days than using BIM schedulling. Using BIM software such as Tekla Structure 2020 actually more effective if it is collaborated with others software because they can complement each other from the advantages of each application.
