Abstract

Background: Academic integrity is the core moral of university and highly esteemed that refers to the whole human integrity as moral attitude. Academic integrity comprises five fundamental values which are academic honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. Research Purpose: To know the perception of Dental Students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta towards the values of academic integrity. Research Method: The research used analytical descriptive method with observation approach. The sampling technique used within this research was Purposive sampling with 92 samples who were active students of UMY Dentistry Study Program. The data were collected using questionnaire with 25 item Likert scale assessment method. The data were analyzed using descriptive test which was mean distribution. Result: The perception of the Dental students towards the values of academic integrity was very good (mean= 291, 64). Responsible aspect was the most comprehensive value with mean total score is 308,75 and Honesty was the least comprehended value with mean total score of 273,5. Conclusion: It can be concluded from the research that the comprehension of UMY Dentistry students towards the values of academic integrity is very good
