Abstract

People with HIV / AIDS face various problems, one of which is the problem of spirituality such as refusing to worship, blaming God, worship not according to the provisions, disruption in worship and spiritual distress. The description of the life situation faced by PLWHA ultimately affects the assessment of his concept. People with HIV / AIDS face a variety of negative stigmas from the environment and some even do not accept themselves in their current condition. There are ODHA who are down / sorry so they think that God is unfair and feels that all is a reward for what has been done. The aim of this researcher is to formulate the problem of whether there is a relationship of spirituality to the self concept of People With HIV / AIDS (PLWHA). This study uses cross-sectional with a sample size of 88 people living with HIV with the criteria of age ≥20 years, PLWHA who follow 6 months of mentoring, are still actively participating in counseling. The instrument used in this study is Spiritual Perspective Scale and Self Concept. Based on the results of the study, most people living with HIV aged 20-40 years were 59 people (67%) as many as 63 people (71.6%), as many as 69 people (74.8%) and Java had as many as 79 people (89.8%). The last education for PLWHA was 51% (58%) and had other jobs (teachers, housewives, farmers, street singers, and unemployed) of 50 people (56.8%). The majority of respondents had a long-diagnosed characteristic of 55 people in the range (0-5 years) with a percentage (62.5%). most respondents have good spirituality as many as 76 people with a percentage of 86.4% and respondents consisting of the concept of self-image in the good category of 66 people with a percentage of 75%.
