Abstract
Pain is considered as an expression of a pathological process in the body, so patients with pain complaints must be investigated for the cause. Pain is the most complaints felt by cancer patients. Cancer caused by a Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) 20% of deaths occurs in low-income countries.. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of using analgesic adjusted with guideline from WHO Three-Step Analgesic Ladder in patients with cervical cancer hospitalization at General Hospital Center Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta in 2017. This study used a descriptive non-experimental design with data collection through a cross-sectional methode that was traced retrospectively from the patients medical record. The total population is 81 patients with sample that included inclusion criteria is 69 patients. Analysis of analgesic use was carried out descriptively by referring to guideline WHO Three-Step Analgesic Ladder. The result of this study showed that analgesic used in cervical cancer patients were Ketorolac (50,72%), Paracetamol (13,04%), Tramadol (10,14%), Mefenamic Acid (5,80%), Ketorolac-Mefenamic Acid (5,80%), Ketorolac- Paracetamol (4,35%), Paracetamol-Tramadol (2,90%), Methyl prednisolone (2,90%), Ultracet® (1,45%), Ketorolac-Ultracet® (1,45%), and Paracetamol-Codein (1,45%). The conformity of analgesic with guideline is 71% and non-comformity is 29%.
