Abstract

Stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition caused by insufficient nutrient intake for a long time, which has an impact on growth problems in children, such as lower or stunted height (stunted) from growing age. The message about stunting prevention can be conveyed through health education which is not only done face to face, but can also be done using various media, one of which is audiovisual media. The aim of this study is to develop an audio-visual educational media in the PAUD-INCASTING program to prevent stunting in preschool children. This study uses a quantitative method with the ADDIE model research design. The number of respondents was 20 preschool children using purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data in this study using the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study indicate an increase in total food intake, morning and evening, PHBS hand washing behavior, Z score and nutritional status of preschool children after being given health education through audiovisual media.
