Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of physical work environment and work stress on the performance of Bansari District Health Center employees, Temanggung District. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires and carried out on 40 employees of Bansari District Health Center, Temanggung District. In this study using SPSS help to analyze data. The instrument testing technique used in this research uses validity test with factor analysis, reliability test with Alpha Cronbach. As well as for prerequisite analysis using classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression and path analysis to test and prove the research hypothesis. The result of analysis shows that physical work environment have positive effect on employee performance p value 0,004 <α = 0,05, work stress have negative effect to employee performance p value 0,005 <α = 0,05, physical work environment negatively affect work stress value p value 0,040 <α = 0,05, and physical work environment have positive effect on employee performance with work stress as mediation with result of path analysis 0,535> 0,406.
