Abstract

Dawah strategy is an important part of dai in delivering dawah. One example is the dawah strategy carried out by Ustadz Sayid Satria Baja Islam towards the Pengemudi Becak (Pedicab Driver) Beringharjo Mengaji Community. The purpose of this study was to find out the steps and activities of Ustadz Sayid Satria Baja Islam in the Pengemudi Becak Beringharjo Mengaji Community. In addition, this study also aimed to describe the strategy he used in preaching to the Pengemudi Becak Beringharjo Mengaji Community. This study uses a qualitative approach using data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, and documentation. For data analysis, qualitative descriptive methods are used to arrive at research objectives. The results showed that Ustadz Sayid Satria Baja Islam used several approaches namely, philosophical, sociological, psychological, effective and efficient in delivering dawah in order to be accepted by the Pengemudi Becak Beringharjo Mengaji Community. Besides, Ustadz Sayid Satria Baja Islam also mastered the basics of strategy and forms of dawah. Finally, the strategy taken by Ustadz Sayid Satria Baja Islam was appropriate because of the time taken during recess after Friday prayers.
