Abstract

The number of cases of violations of child rights continues to increase, as is the case often occurring among others child neglect, trafficking, exploitation, abuse and even murder. As if the phenomenon of icebergs, the emergence of data in every agency is only limited to the occurrence of the above surface, so have not found specifically the number of cases that occurred at the village level, which in remote areas and left behind. Violence against children who became the focus of this research is the violence of child victims of abuse. This research uses descriptive qualitative case study. Qualitative descriptive research is intended to measure social phenomena systematically, factually and accurately about the facts that occur in the handling of volunteers against cases of abuse of children. The research was conducted at P2TPAKK (Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Perempuan dan Anak Korban Kekerasan: Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Victims of Violence) "Rekso Dyah Utami". The results of this study include the institutional background in dealing with victims of sexual harassment, analyzing the situation of victims of sexual harassment, preparations made by volunteers when going to meet with victims, careful planning before meeting with victims, determining the use of verbal and nonverbal messages in communicating to victims, time of approach to the victim, the determination of effective media selection, the use of media as a process of approaching the victim, the impact on the victim, to the follow-up plan and measure the success of volunteers in dealing with the victims of sexual harassment.
