Abstract

This thesis was written to explain the Chinese government effort in Xi Jinping period to improve foreign direct investment through Chinese ethnic diaspora. Before the economic reformation period, many Chinese people found difficult to have a job and economic walfare that causing them to left China. Even after the economic reformation, the migrating habit is still continuosly happening, globalization is also one of several causing factors. Knowing that there are massive Chinese population are living outside China, the Chinese government was trying to bring in those Chinese diasporas in order to boost the Chinese economic development. One of them was through free visa policy
