Abstract

This research evaluates the communication system at the Center for Human Resource Development and Communication and Information Research (BPSDMP Kominfo) Yogyakarta applying the communication audit method. BPSDMP Kominfo is a Technical Implementation Unit under the auspices of the Human Resources Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the communication system of BPSDMP Kominfo Yogyakarta which consisted of the quality of internal media, information accessibility, and forms of communication relations. This study uses a mixed method of qualitative and quantitative methods. In addition, the data varies from questionnaires, interviews, and observations that describe the genuine situation according to the facts in the field. The results depict that the communication system of BPSDMP Kominfo runs with several constraints in the accessibility of communication and communication relations to the headship.
