Abstract
Background: Thinking and strategic planning are needed
in today's very tight competition in the service sector. The
formulation of a detailed and well-structured strategy will be
able to provide hope for health service companies so that they
can compete with other health service providers that continue to
emerge. As a unit within an organization, it is necessary to
implement and develop internal management capabilities to
achieve the desired goals by directing all the potential and the
right strategy to be applied. The Clinic in Klaten is a private
pratama clinic was inaugurated on April 1, 2001. This clinic has
serious clinical and financial management problems and
threatens its existence in an era full of competition. The purpose
of this study was to formulate a strategy at Klaten Private Clinic.
Methods: this type of research is a qualitative research with
a case study design. The subjects of this study were clinical
management staff who have positions in clinical organizations
totaling 6 people.
Results and discussion: Internal environmental analysis
results obtained with strengths consisting of 24-hour service,
There is hospitalization, fast service, more and longer experience
of nurses, good location, employee loyalty, and weaknesses
consisting of financial assets that are not managed properly, The
doctor on duty in the morning is often empty , Expensive, Clinic
appearance is not attractive. While the external environment has
opportunities consisting of demands to improve service
capabilities, promotions, the trend of digitizing services, inpatient
clinics are still favored by patients, while threats consist of
ongoing bank installments, new competitors, pandemics, human
resources with lazy nature, jealousy, issues clinic closed in the
community.
Conclusion: The formulation of the right strategy for the
Jama'ah Haji Manisrenggo Foundation Clinic in Klaten is an
aggressive/proactive strategy, where the Jama'ah Haji
Manisrenggo Foundation Clinic has opportunities and strengths
so that it can use the Strenghts-Opportunities strategy (S-O
Strategy)
