Abstract

Phytophthora infestans is a pathogen that causes late blight on potato plants.
The application of foliar concentration of nano husk ash is expected to suppress the
presence of P. infestans during storage and sprout testing. This research was
arranged using a single factor Complete Randomized Block Design (RAKL)
consisting of 4 treatments: No Nano Husk Ash, concentration 0.2%, concentration
0.4%, and concentration 0.6%. The results showed that the nano husk ash had a
significant effect on the presence of P. infestans and the water content of the tubers
during storage. The nano husk ash did not significantly affect the hardness, weight
loss, plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight and dry weight. The
administration of 0.6% of nano husk ash showed the most effective results in
suppressing the presence of P. infestans with an average percentage yield of 0%
and a tuber moisture content test of 84.6% at the end of the shelf life.
