Abstract

Economic activity is a human activity in meeting the needs of human life in their life has needs
that must be met at any time. Everyone needs a job, work can be explained as a source of
income for a person to meet the needs of life for themselves and their family and can also be
interpreted as a means for self-realization, some people feel that their life becomes more
valuable and better in their family and environment, so he Having the right to work is a
fundamental right that must be defended. Human rights inherent in a person must be upheld
and respected. Population growth from year to year is increasing, if this population growth is
not balanced with sufficient job vacancies, it will result in a gap between workers and
entrepreneurs. In addition to the life gap that occurs because of this, it also has a further impact,
namely work agreements that are not balanced in position. In terms of work agreements made
by employers in accepting new employees, they carry out Specific Time Work Agreements
(PKWT). used by the company because it is considered more efficient and saves expenses
incurred by the administration of a company. As used by the State Oil and Gas Mining in
Jakarta, but in its implementation it is not in accordance with what is written in the law, in
carrying out this agreement there are several conditions that must be carried out so that it can
be declared legally valid in doing so. This research has benefits for writers in the development
of the field of legal science and has benefits for the Department of Manpower, trade unions /
laborers and people who need information related to employment.
