Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the management of tahfidz program (Al
Qur’an memorization program) at Ma’had Tahfidzil Qur’an Muhammadiyah
Ibnu Juraimi. The implementation of management function is the one revealed
and analyzed in this research. This descriptive qualitative research involves
mudir (principal), muhaffidz (teachers) and students as the research subjects. The
data were collected from interview, observation and documentation.
The findings indicate that (1) The planning of the tahfidz program at
Ma'had Tahfidzil Qur'an Muhammadiyah Ibnu Juraimi has been carried out well
in several stages starting from the planning of vision, mission, teaching and
learning curriculum, details of curriculum targets, learning targets and tahfidz
Al-Qur'an learning system. (2) The organization of the tahfidz program at Ma'had
Tahfidzil Qur'an Muhammadiyah Ibnu Juraimi is carried out based on the ma'had
organizational structure which explains the main tasks and functions of each
ma'had tahfidz member so that it can run well and organized. (3) The
implementation of the tahfidz program at Ma'had Tahfidzil Qur'an
Muhammadiyah Ibnu Juraimi is mostly carried out in mosques which is divided
into three times; morning, afternoon and evening. That time allotment is used by
students to memorize and repeat their memorization with muhaffidz. In addition,
the time allocation also makes it easier for the students to report and repeat their
memorization. (4) The evaluation of the tahfidz program at Ma'had Tahfidzil
Qur'an Muhammadiyah Ibnu Juraimi was carried out on a daily basis which was
divided into three times; morning, afternoon and evening. The results of the
student's memorization evaluation are recorded in the memorization card making
it easier for the students and muhaffidz to determine the upcoming memorization
target.
