Abstract

The spread of infectious diseases is a disease that can be spread in hospitals, the
spread of this disease is transmitted through the air or inanimate objects such as
doorknobs and medical devices that have been used in patients who are being
hospitalized. The cause of this disease can be from patients, nurses, doctors,
workers and patient guests. Bacteria found on doorknobs can cause disease, one of
which is nosocomial disease, therefore the author intends to make an automatic
door in the patient care room in order to keep the door sterile because officers do
not need to grip the doorknob which is generally a nest of bacteria and germs
because they often held by many officers. The author makes a prototype door that
can slide open and close automatically using an RFID card command and can send
data collection to the website. The effectiveness of using RFID cards as room
entrance access can minimize the spread of infectious diseases that occur on
doorknobs because patients, nurses, doctors, workers and patient guests simply
bring the card closer to the reader so that bacteria and germs do not move to
another.
