Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of the principles of Good
Governance in village financial management in village government in the province of the Special
Region of Yogyakarta. The background of this research is that the application of the principles of
good governance is very influential on the management of village finances in terms of assessing
the performance of the village government.
The data used in this study is primary data obtained from 125 respondents, namely
village government officials. Data collection in this study using a questionnaire and convenience
sampling was chosen as the sampling method. Hypothesis testing in this study using multiple
regression using the SPSS 22 software application.
The results showed that the principles of transparency, accountability, supervision,
efficiency & effectiveness, and professionalism positively have a significant influence on village
financial management. Meanwhile, the principles of participation and law enforcement have no
influence on village financial management.
