Abstract

Gunung Kidul is known as a barren area and lacks water during the dry season.
According to data from DISTAN Jogja Gunung Kidul became the second most riceproducing regency after Sleman in 2016. Wareng Village is a village that planted
rice with 104 days of age which causes more rice production. The type of rice used
is inpari 19 variety rice given by BPTP directly to the Wareng Village Farmers
Association (GAPOKTAN). The purpose of this study was conducted to determine
the response of farmers to inpari 19 rice in Wareng Village, Gunung Kidul Regency.
This research method uses descriptive methods, spearman rank and rank. The data
obtained from interviews with 52 respondents. The results of the study using scoring
analysis showed that cognitive aspects (knowledge) average score of 18.17 (know),
affective aspects (attitude) average score of 19.41 (agree), conative aspects (action)
on average a score of 20.29 (very interested) and an average response score of
57.87 (good). The results of the study using Spearman rank analysis show that the
level of education has a significant relationship to knowledge (cognitive) and
farming experience has a significant relationship to action (conative). Meanwhile,
age, income and land area have a relationship but not significant to knowledge
(cognitive), attitude (affective), action (conative) and response. The level of

(conative) and response, and farming experience has a relationship but not
significant to knowledge (cognitive), attitude (affective) and response.
