Abstract
Background:The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that stroke is the
second leading cause of death and the third cause of disability in adjusting to life
activities. There were 16.9 million new cases of stroke and 33 million survivors of
stroke worldwide in 2010, more than half of whom were in low to middle income
countries. The research was conducted related to the risk factors for stroke and the
level of physical activity of nursing staff at RSI Fatimah Cilacap. The problem
formulation of this research is how the profile of stroke risk factors and the level of
physical activity in nursing staff at RSI Fatimah Cilacap.
Purpose:This research purspose to examine and provide information about the risk
factors for stroke and the level of physical activity in nursing staff.
Method:The studiy using analyze observational with Stroke Risk Scorecard
Questionnaire and the Global Physical Activity Questionnare. The analysis of the
results was carried out using a description method that produced a percentage.
Results:This research results obtained the stroke risk of nursing staff at RSI
Fatimah in a low level of 63.9%, a warning of 21.8% and a high risk of 14.3%. The
results of the activity level questionnaire obtained the results of a high level of
physical activity 82.3%, a medium level of 14.3% and a low level of 3.4%. There
was significant relationship between age (p=0,031) and diet on the level physical
activity (p=0,007)
Conclussion:The conslussion of the study proves that most of the nursing staff RSI
Fatimah Cilacap is at low risk and can control stroke risk factors well and have a
high level of physical activity.
