Abstract

This study aims to determine the
attitude of farmers towards sand mining activities on agricultural land and information
about sand mining activities. The location of this research is in Sidorejo Village,
Kemalang District, Klaten Regency. Respondents in this study were farmers whose
agricultural land was used as sand mining land in the 2020 period, totaling 49 farmers.
This research is a type of survey research using two approaches, namely qualitative
and quantitative approaches which are then analyzed by descriptive methods. Sand
mining activities in this study can be known information about the sand mining contract
system, namely the stages of sand mining, time period, agreement system, mining
revenue sharing system and mining revenue sharing recipients. The impact of sand
mining activities on agricultural land in Sidorejo Village in this study there are two
impact indicators, namely the physical environmental impact which is considered
detrimental to farmers and the socio-economic impact of farmers which is felt to be
beneficial for farmers. The results of the measurement of farmers' attitudes towards
sand mining activities obtained a score of 67.55% with the "Doubtful" category which
means that farmers in Sidorejo Village have a doubtful attitude assessment towards
sand mining activities on agricultural land
