Abstract

This research discusses the efforts of Islamic religion education teachers in mastering
information technology in online learning at SDIT (Islamic Elementary School) AlMishbah Jombang City. This research is aimed to know; firstly, the ability of Islamic
religion education teachers in utilizing information technology in online learning,
secondly the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic religion education teachers
in improving students' understanding of online learning, and thirdly the efforts of
Islamic religion education teachers in mastering information technology to improve
students' understanding of online learning. A qualitative approach was employed in
this research involving Islamic religion education teachers, school principals, and
students of SDIT Al-Misbah as the research subjects. The data collection techniques in
this research were observation, interviews and documentation.
The findings of the research conducted by the researcher are; firstly, the Islamic
religion education teachers are able to utilize information technology (audio
technology, visual technology and audio-visual technology) well for online Islamic
religion education learning. Secondly, the supporting factors for Islamic religion
education teachers in improving students' understanding of online learning at SDIT
Al-Mishbah are the advances in information technology and communication methods
that vary, the making of student modules, and the role of parents at home. The
inhibiting factors are network instability, mobile phones that are not possessed by all
students and parents, both students and parents who have not fully understood
information technology, limited time allocated for online learning. Thirdly, the efforts
of Islamic religion education teachers in mastering information technology to improve
students' understanding at SDIT Al-Mishbah Jombang City are preparing ICT facilities
and infrastructure, watching tutorials on media usage on YouTube and joining
bandicam training for Islamic religion education teachers.
