PERDAGANGAN DAN INVESTASI KOREA SELATAN DI INDONESIA DALAM DEKLARASI KEMITRAAN STRATEGIS BERSAMA 2006

The relation between Indonesia and South Korea is a relation who complete each other. Indonesia is rich in natural resources and cheap labors, but Republic of Korea has sophisticated technology, capital, and good maintain in management. As follow-up of that relation for 4 decade, on 4th of December 2006 is assigned Joint Declaration Between the Republic of Indonesia and Republic of Korea on Strategic Partnership to Promote Friendship and Cooperation in the 21st Century by the presidents. Beside that the both of country assigned cooperation assignment in nuclear for peace purpose, tourism, forestry, against corruption, also trade and investment. We can see from Data of Trade Department, development of this cooperation brings good impact. Trade and investment volume are increasing Year by year, such as trade value Indonesia – south Korea in 2006 increased compare in 2005. In 2006, Indonesia export is USD 7,69 billion or up to 8,58% compare 2005. Government of Indonesia and south Korea have interests. Beside the financial profit, for South Korea wants look for closer cooperative partner who can help its ambition, to be main player in world economic. Moreover growth of economic is going down in west and Europe. That condition bring the benefits for Indonesia. Improvement the cooperation between Indonesia and south Korea will emerge decrease dependence toward west and Europe. Moreover Indonesia’s economic development will increase with investment.
