HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP TERHADAP PELAKSANAAN PEMBERANTASAN SARANG NYAMUK (PSN) OLEH MASYARAKAT DI KELURAHAN NGESTIHARJO WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KASIHAN II BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

Health program in Indonesia is eradication of communicable disease and non communicable disease. Communicable disease still becomes the first public health problem in Indonesia, beside the increases of non communicable disease. One of communicable disease is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). DHF is one of the important public health problem in Indonesia and often caused an extraordinary event. This research aim to know the correlation between knowledge and attitude towards the implementation of mosquito’s nest eradication by society in Ngestiharjo work scope of Public Health Center Kasihan II Bantul Yogyakarta. This research method is non experiment with research design correlation and cross sectional approach and using questionnaire. This research conducted in Kelurahan Ngestiharjo Subdistrict of Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta with the number of sample is 100 patriarch which taken randomly. This research conducted on 11st – 19th February 2009. The research result shows that mostly or 73.0% of society indicates good level of knowledge and 80.0% society have less attitude toward an eradication of mosquito’s nest. From analysis result of Spearman Rho shows that there is any correlation between knowledge and the implementation of mosquito’s nest eradication with significance rate P=0.000 (p<0.05) and Spearman correlation value 0.484, there is no correlation between attitude and implementation in eradication of mosquito’s nest with significance rate P=0.062 (>0.05) and Spearman correlation value 0.188. Suggestion for society is need an effort for increasing the knowledge, attitude and the implementation of mosquito’s nest eradication with the increasing of health information about Dengue Hemorr
