Abstract

This thesis tries to elaborate the involvement of Russia in Kyrgyzstan April Riot 2010 and its role toward the change of Kyrgyzstan politic in regional stage of Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan, which is the former Soviet Union Republic remains dependence to Russia in many aspects of life, socially, economically, even military and politically. Russia as a new great power will show its capability in its former occupation, especially Central Asia. April Riot 2010 in Kyrgyzstan became one of the field concerns of Russian foreign policy. Russia could possibly intervene Kyrgyzstan internally by high coercion actions. In fact, Russia only executed low coercion intervention. It represented that Russia was no long-longer country which was always use the military power to keep its sphere of influence in previous Soviet’s occupation such as in Georgia war where Russia straightforwardly conducted high coercion.
