Abstract
This study aims to analyze the values of moral education that can be drawn from
Q.S. Asy-Syu’arā verse 89 and to know the relevance of moral education values in Q.S.
Asy-Syu’arā verse 89 with the process of moral learning at the level of Madrasah
Aliyah (Islamic senior high schools).
This research is library research that used a qualitative approach. The primary
source of this research was the tafsir of Al-Maraghi, a phenomenal work by Aḥmad
Muṣṭafá Al-Marāghī. The secondary source was the literature related to the discussion.
Data collection techniques used were by means of documentation, and data analysis
used descriptive analytics. After that, the data that has been collected were conceptually
analyzed regarding the contents, along with the terms contained in them.
The results showed that the value of moral education contained in Q.S. AsySyu’arā verse 89 consists of two parts, namely the morals to God and personal morals.
Among the morals to God is piety, tawakal (trusting in God’s plan), and sincere. While
personal morals include istiqamah (having steadfastness), having shame, tawadhu
(total compliance), forgiving, trusted, and patient. Apart from that, this research shows
the importance of purification and cleansing of the heart in order to create good morals
for every Muslim, especially students, so that they do not be affected by negative
things.
