Abstract

Gaya hidup modern berkaitan erat dengan hiperlipidemia. Hiperlipidemia adalah peningkatan kadar LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein), trigliserida dan penurunan HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) dalam darah. Hiperlipidemia dapat menimbulkan aterosklerosis yang bermanifestasi menjadi Penyakit Jantung Koroner (PJK). Salah satu tanaman tropis yang dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan kadar LDL adalah Rambutan (Nephellium lappaceum) khususnya biji rambutan. Dari literature dan penelitian menunjukkan biji buah ram
