UJI EFEKTIVITAS PASTA GIGI EKSTRAK SIWAK DAN PASTA GIGI PEMUTIH LOKAL YANG DIJUAL SECARA KOMERSIL DALAM MENGHILANGKAN PEWARNAAN EKSTERNAL AKIBAT KOPI

Estethic needed as tooth color can influence performance even in denture. Study in vitro for removing external staining from coffee on resin acrylic box by extract siwak toothpaste and whitening toothpastes in Indonesia. This research using pre and post test design. Ccolor changes on resin acrylic box with self curing polimeritation which is placed on saliva pH 7 for 30 second and then chlorhexidine 0,2% for 60 second and then coffee solution 500C for 2 minutes and placed on toothhpaste which is used in research (toothpaste A Pepsodent Whitening, Toothpaste B Siwak-F, C control, D Toothpaste Zact) for 2 minutes dan the last measured how much stain removing on the acrylic box with spectofometer and Lobene Index. This research was held for 8 days The analysis this research using Kruskal-Wallis test. There is no significant result but group B (44.48 average) shows the highest mean rank than at all. On the lobene index show the highest stain removing is reached by group A (1.3 average), the highest stain removing shows if acrylic box is slightly staining on acrylic surface.
