Abstract

Indonesia is one of the country that have a large population of elder people in the world. The purpose of this study to are the factor age, gender, level education and depression related to elderly cognitive function in Kalimanjung village, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The type of this research is Quantitative study. This study used Descriptive Correlation design with Cross Sectional. The sample size is 58 people chooseap with Random Sampling technique. Data analyzing used Kendall Tau. The Instrument of this research is MMSE. The result of this study shows that there is relation between age and cognitive function with signification value p = 0,020 (p < 0,05), there is relation between education level and cognitive function with signification value p = 0,000 (p < 0,05),there is relation between depression and cognitive function with signification value p = 0,031 (p < 0,05). But there is no relation between gender and cognitive function with signification value p = 0,403 (p > 0,05). The conclusions is there are relation between age, education level and depression with cognitive function in elderly. In the contrary, there is no relation between gender and cognitive function
