POTENSI DAYA HAMBAT EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN BINAHONG (ANREDERA CORDIFOLIA (TENORE) STEENIS) TERHADAP INVASI SEL KANKER LIDAH MANUSIA (SP-C1) IN VITRO

Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis) is one of medical plants that used to prevent human cancer . Binahong leaves contain flavonoid and polifenol active compound and it can inhibit the invasion of cancer. The aim this study was to examine the potency of binahong ( Anredera cordifolia ( Tenore ) Steenis ) leaves ethanolic extract toward invasion of human oral tongue cancer cells Supri 's clone 1 ( SP - C1 ). The design of this study was pure laboratory experimental research with the sample of human oral tongue cancer cell (SP-C1). SP-C1 invasion was inhibitad by ethanolic extract of Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis leaves in concentrations (0, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 µg/ml). The sample were then incubated in 24 hours. As control was carried out by Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM). Boyden chamber kit were used in the study. Result of the study showed that ethanolic extract of Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis leaves was markedly inhibit the invasion of SP-C1 cell. The concentration of 200 ug/ml was found ethanolic extract of Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis leaves has more to inhibit potency the invasion of SPC1 cell. Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis) leaves ethanolic extract had potency toward the invasion of human oral tongue cancer cell SP-C1.
