PERAN KONSELING FARMASIS TERHADAP KUALITAS HIDUP PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI PUSKESMAS KASIHAN 1 DAN PUSKESMAS KASIHAN 2

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease with metabolic disorders marked by blood glucose levels exceeding normal value (hyperglicemia), as a result of abnormalities in insulin secretion. Diabetes mellitus is divided into several types. One of the efforts in improving the quality of life of patients with diabetes mellitus is by providing counseling from pharmacist. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of pharmacist counseling to the quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
This research is included into research quasi experimental research. Sample used as many as 20 patients were divided into two groups which is the treatment and the control group using consecutive of sampling techniques, analyzed using a statistical t-test.
The qol score was compared between the treatment and control group which resulted a p-value of 0,831 (>0,05). Based on this result, it is concluded that there is no influence of counseling towards quality of life in patients type 2 diabetes mellitus
