PENGARUH ENDUKASI TENTANG KANKER PAYUDARA TERHADAP SKOR KESADARAN BAHAYA PENYAKIT KANKER PAYUDARA (BREAST CANCER AWARENESS) DI DESA GLAGAH BANTUL DAN DESA KERSO JEPARA

Breast Cancer is a is desease that requires proper and serious handling effort. According to data obtained rather than the Hospital Information System (SIRS) In 2007, breast cancer ranks first in-patients in all hospitals in Indonesia is 16.85%, while in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), the number of breast cancer patients have not been able to known with certainty. Data were obtained only from hospitals that deal with breast cancer patients. According to data from the Provincial Health Office, in several hospitals in Yogyakarta in 2009 found 451 cases of breast cancer (Health Office, 2009). Education in the form of education about the dangers of Breast Cancer can provide prior knowledge and add information on the dangers of Breast Cancer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education about the dangers of Breast Cancer towards awareness scores the dangers of Breast Cancer at Glagah village, Bantul and Kerso Village, Jepara. This study is Quasy Experimental with pretest-posstest with control group design. This reseach was conducted in the Glagah village as control group with 24 respondents and Jepara village as the experiment group with 24 respondents. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data analysis using Paired sample test for normally distributed data, whereas for data were not normally distributuion, using Mann-Whitney. The results showed that the awareness posttest scores in the experimental group and the control group using the Mann-Whitney and obtained significant value of 0.000. The conclusion because of (p <0.05) then there is the influence of education on the dangers of Breast Cancer towards awareness of the dangers of Breast Cancer significant or meaningful impact. Suggestions addressed to health professionals such as health centers in order to perform a more serious response to the danger diseases Breast Cancer.
