Abstract

Background: Nurse determines health service quality in hospital, that is why nurse have to be profesional in their job. Work stress which happen continously in a high intensity can cause burnout. It also can be happen because work characteristic and nurse enviroment which very complex. Burnout connected with a risk between work absent, the decrease of work satisfaction and increase desire to leave (Westermann et al, 2012). Purpose: To know nurse behaviors to face burnout in PKU Muhammadiyah unit II Yogyakarta Hospital. Research Method: This research use descriptif method by qualitatif descriptif approach, to get informations about nurse behaviors to face burnout in PKU Muhammadiyah unit II Yogyakarta Hospital. Result: The researcher found 8 themes with 9 categories. Act to solve fatigue (theme 1), based factor to lead an act (theme 2), struggle of act (theme 3), fatigue desire (theme 4), knowledge of fatigue (theme 5), comparition of shift fatigue (theme 6), providing shelter (theme 7), activity implementation (theme 8). Conclussion: Nurse behavior to face burnout is apply simple act, but for nurse that is all enough to help them out decrising fatigue. Nurse also have hopes to add the personil. And about rest place, hospital did not provide a rest place for nurse to take a rest.
