Abstract
This study analyzes the Communication Strategy of the Ministry of Public
Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in the KemenPUPR youtube 2019 web
series “Pury & Bos Uki”. The purpose of this study is to describe the
communication strategy as a method of online communication carried out by
the Ministry of PUPR to the public. The research method used in this research
is descriptive qualitative research method. The research object in this study is
the Ministry of PUPR.
In this research, the activities carried out by the Ministry of PUPR have
gone through three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Goal setting which is part of planning becomes an important point in taking
action to be taken. This goal setting is based on the objectives of the Ministry
of PUPR to convey effective information by creating a web series. With this
web series, the Ministry of PUPR wants to convey a message that
infrastructure development can encourage activities and increase community
productivity, intensify and expand socialization about the work program of the
Ministry of PUPR. Then the Ministry of PUPR hopes that the public will
know the performance of the Ministry of PUPR and can maintain the facilities
provided by the government.
The implementation of the communication strategy of the Ministry of
PUPR through this web series is carried out by paying attention to aspects
such as location, talent, and stories. In the implementation itself, the Ministry
of PUPR and the production house can work together well. But in its
implementation, there are still some things that are not optimal. An in-depth
survey is required in several locations that are used as shooting locations for
the web series. Then the evaluation stages carried out by the Ministry of
PUPR are external and internal evaluations. Evaluation is important for both
service users and service providers.
