Abstract
This study aims to (1) describe resilience in adolescents who experience parental divorce
victims in the BPRSR. (2) describes the factors that influence resilience in parental
divorce victims. This research uses descriptive research and a qualitative approach. With
observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicates
there are differences in the resiliency of the subject compared to other. The Subject 1 is a
resilient individual, because subject 1 can fulfill the seven aspects of resilience formation,
namely emotional regulation, impuls control, optimism, empathy, analysis of the causes
of problems, self-efficacy, and reaching out. Meanwhile, The Subject 2 can’t achieve the
aspects of the formation of resilience related to self-efficacy. Another differences between
the two subject is in the stage of resilliency stage. The Subject 1 was able to go through
the process of resilience until the rapid developing stage, however subject 2 was only
able to survive in the recovery stage. There are 2 factors forming the resilience of the two
subjects, namely internal protective factors and external protective factors. Both subjects
have good cognitive abilities so that both subjects accept events that have happened well.
For the reason, they can live their lives and have the motivation to change into better
individual by realizing their mistakes. Other than that, there are external protective
factors that greatly affect both subjects, namely the existence of family support and
services in the centre (BPRSR) that motivate the subject to have a better life in the future.
The risk factors that deteriorate the resilience of both subjects are the negative social
environment that encourage them to gey involve in maladative behavior.
